Bmibaby has announced new routes for next summer, all of them now available for reservation through the Web: bmibaby.com.
The new routes that affect Spanish airports are between the East Midlands airport and those of Gibraltar and Murcia; and between Birmingham airport and Barcelona airport.
Unlike other low-cost airlines, bmibaby assigns a seat to the user when issuing the boarding pass. It also has a free online service to print the boarding pass for passengers traveling with hand luggage only and the maximum weight allowed for checked luggage is 22kg.
The start dates, frequencies and rates are as follows:
- East Midlands - Gibraltar flights: Starts March 31, 2012 and flies on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights from £ 39.99 (€ 45.80) each way and with taxes included.
- Flights East Midlands - Murcia: begins March 31, 2012, with flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets starting at 44.99 pounds (€ 51.55) each way and including taxes.
- Flights Birmingham - Barcelona: starts March 29, 2012, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. There are flights from 26.99 pounds (€ 30.90) each way and with taxes included.
